Here you will find the basic notions of this application.

For the knowledge base development several Knowledge Acquisition approaches were followed.

The information derived from the knowledge acquisition procedure was codified using Fault Tree Analysis.

The inference mechanism of LOMA is based on basic Fuzzy Logic and Possibility theory notions.

LOMA uses Linguistic Values as inputs. As result, LOMA estimates the possibility of fault occurrence in a landfill.

The failure possibility estimation is based on the Fault Tree Analysis principles.

LOMA informs the user which event contribute more in the fault occurrence by calculating the Importance Measure of each event of the triggered Operational Fault.
